"Mobility of school education staff"
The preparatory phase is aimed at the best preparation of our group of teachers for a study trip to a partner school in Milan. The project assumes that we will observe classes at the local school, with particular attention paid to the methods, forms and techniques of working in the classroom.
Orgnizational meeting - December 19, 2016
It was designed to determine the final number of participants after recruitment, providing as much information as they may need to prepare for departure. A timetable for the actions was also established and a brief description of each project was made. Each participant was assigned tasks to perform during the project. E-mail group and SMS group were established to improve better communication and transmission of current information during the project
Preparation of the presentation - January 9, 2017
This meeting was to presen a presentation from the previous work in physical education classes in grades 1-3 and 4-6, which will be needed to the methodologist from the Academy of Physical Education to systematize the work done and prepare for observation of physical activity during a study visit to a school Partner. Participants practically got acquainted with the e-twinning platform in online classes and were encouraged to open up to such collaborations with teachers from other countries. The case of advertising the project at the school and the website of the institution were also discussed. Information posters on the project were made and posted.
Meeting with the methodologist - January 30, 2017.
Teachers participating in the project met dr hab. Dorothy Groffik from the Department of Theory and Methodology of the Academy of Physical Education for a two-hour lecture on the preparation of the participants of the project "Mobility of the staff of the school education" to participate in the project and study visit at the partner school
The lecture addressed issues:
Organizational forms of physical education
Outline of physical education lesson
Methods of performing tasks
Psychophysical development of the child
Physical education lesson procedures
Record physical education lessons
After the lecture, the teachers exchanged their observations and remarks. The participants were prepared in a methodological way for the project and a study visit to the partner school.
After the lecture participants received the appropriate certificates of graduation
The beginning of the English course – February 6, 2017.
The main language used in the project is English, that is why the participants wrote a diagnostic test to precise their language communication skills and qualified to appropriate group levels. The course includes of 20 hours. Thanks to language preparation, participants will be able to communicate better and better during the trip.
Lecture about italian culture focused on Lombardia region - March 27, 2017
Teachers involved in the project also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic information about Italy. The meeting took 1.5 hours and was conducted by Ms. Martine Matusiak, MA of Italian Language and Culture from Bielsko-Biała.
The lecture consisted of two parts. The first part covered issues related to: culture, history, geography of Italy. The second part concerned the Lombardy region with a particular emphasis on Milan and Bergamo. Two Italian cities to be visited by project participants.
Completion of English Course - April 3, 2017
The course take place at the School No. 1 Skoczow two-hour blocks. The lecturer was Marina Hodyna from the Foreign Languages Center in Skoczow. Participants learned the grammatical range of a given language level, communicative vocabulary and the ability to improve speaking skills in English. In the last few lessons, they have mastered the vocabulary of the sport in order to better prepare themselves for the observation of movement in the partner school.
The course was completed with a test for both groups, after which the participants of the first group received a B1 level certificate and a C1 level English participant.
The whole project team participated actively and with commitment during the language course.
Safe Travel - April 10, 2017
Another meeting, this time with the representative of the Awertour Travel Agency from Bielsko-Biała was about traveling safely. The meeting was conducted by Małgorzata Budniok, MA. The facilitator briefly but accurately introduced the participants of the project with the following issues:
- air transport, check in, baggage
- public transport in Italy, specificity of the city of Milan
- travel and legal risks
- emergency numbers and diplomatic missions in Italy
Each partcipant Got the certificate of attending and materials focused on the meeting
Italian Language Workshop - April 10, 2017
Teachers also participated in Italian language workshops to complete linguistic preparation.
The workshops were conducted by Katarzyna Gembala MA, who holds a bachelor's degree in Italian and also coordinates the whole project.
Workshops consisted of three parts:
1) Basic conversational phrases in Italian.
2) Brief presentation of the participant in Italian
3) Sport vocabulary and videos presenting physical education lessons in Italian at the gym and the swimming pool.
At the end, each participant received Italian-language didactic materials.
